Incoming Coeur d'Alene Mayor Continues To Employ Felon After Injury To A Child

Woody McEvers failed to fire a man in his employment after being charged with harming a minor

EXCLUSIVE: Woody McEvers, the incoming mayor of Coeur d'Alene, did not intervene when his 16-year-old autistic employee was sexually abused by another employee at his restaurant, Rustlers Roost, who had a history of criminal activity. Despite the perpetrator being charged with felony injury to a child and later pleading guilty, McEvers retained him at the restaurant, while the young victim was compelled to seek new employment.

Casey Whalen recently interviewed the victim and her mother, who have bravely come forward to reveal the abuse suffered by the underage girl at Rustlers Roost. The victim stated, "I don't want Woody McEvers representing our community because he didn't protect me, and he won't be able to protect others." A special acknowledgment to @casey_whalen for bringing this story to light through an exclusive video report.
