Recent public record requests for teacher Sarah Inama at Lewis and Clark Middle School, part of West Ada School District who decided to defy the district’s wishes to limit what material could be used in the classroom, and last week re-posted a DEI themed poster with the words ‘everyone is welcome here.’
President Trump and the Department of Education have promoted various methods to abolish all diversity, equity and inclusion methods within public education or possibly face losing all federal funding for defying these motions. A document entitled ‘dear colleague,’ has recently been circulated highlighting the need to keep classrooms neutral of any gender themed and political ideology.
