Tom DeWeese has been proactively fighting the whims of the global powers, operating the Foreign Policy Centre in 1984 and later rebranding the organization to its present-day name, the American Policy Center, in 1988.

Before that, he was a staunch supporter of property rights in an organization called the Wise Use Movement.

In this interview, DeWeese also discussed his support of US Rep. Ron Paul's (Texas) bill HR 1146, the American Sovereignty Restoration Act, to terminate U.S. participation in the United Nations (UN), working in tandem with US Rep. Helen Chenoweth (Idaho), Henry Lamb of Sovereignty International, and others in 2000 at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. The group presented over 360,000 signed petitions by citizens urging the government to leave the UN.

I had the opportunity to join Tom helping document his recent visit to the Inland Northwest, spending five days touring Stevens and Okanogan Counties with speaking engagements in Omak and Colville, WA. The final event, DeWeese was the keynote speaker at the Stevens County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
