Commissioner Agrees To Meet With Constituents, And Films Them

Kootenai County Commissioner Mattare met with locals regarding license plate readers, and had his secretary attempt to film it

Three residents made an appointment to meet with Kootenai County Commissioner Bruce Mattare at the county admin building on October 3, 2024, regarding their opposition to License Plate Readers Kootenai County Sheriff Norris rolled into the county without the residents’ knowledge or permission but when they arrived Mattare instructed his secretary to video record and tape them without consent.

Mattare immediately started verbally attacking a resident about not liking her Facebook posts about his wife, Carla Mattare. He insisted the resident go through him if she posted anything about his family. The discussion escalated and the three residents stood up terminating the meeting and walked out because Mattare would not stop verbally attacking one of the three residents about her Facebook post.

The meeting was abruptly terminated by the residents because Mattare was acting completely disrespectful to them and their concerns.
